Captain Molly was 5 years old when her mother was kidnapped and her father got killed.She lived in Fort Washington which got attacked by the British.Then her husband got killed by a British soldier.She had to cook and clean for the fort.She was one of the only people in the fort who knew how to load a cannon.Deborah Samson was indentured servant.After she was granted her freedom she dressed up like a man so she could fight.One day when she was fighting she got shot by a musket ball in her leg and started bleeding out but a soldier took her to the hospital by horse.When she got there she meet a French surgeon who noticed she was limping and started examining her.She told him she was fine.But when he was not looking she took a scalpel  and a needle and thread and bandages,and left the hospital.Then she used the scalpel and put it in her leg to get the musket ball out of her leg.Then she used the needle and thread to stitch the wound up and put bandages on it.
